Inside Saffron & Salt

Our story

A neighborhood table since 2016

Saffron & Salt began as twelve seats and one charcoal grill on a quiet corner of Road 55. Chef Farhan Kabir wanted a place that cooked the food of his grandmother's Barishal kitchen with the fire and restraint he learned in Istanbul and Lisbon.

Today we're a little bigger, but the idea hasn't changed. We buy from Bangladeshi farmers, fishers and coffee growers, cook everything from scratch, and set the table as if you were coming over for dinner.

We came for brunch and stayed until dinner. The lamb rezala is the best thing I've eaten in Dhaka this year, and the team turned our daughter's birthday into a proper family party.
